7. Picotin Lock(in 2002)

First introduced in 2002, the Hermès Picotin Lock pays homage to the brand’s equestrian heritage: this tote bag was inspired by nosebags in which horses were fed from. Adding flare and texture to the otherwise basic exterior, the Hermès Picotin lock is complete with a Kelly lock closure that is iconically synonymous with the Hermès brand.

9. Bolide(in 1923)

In 1923, Emile-Maurice Hermes went to the United States to visit Henry Ford  to see his automobile production factory.  After seeing that a zipper was used for the removable roof on Fords cars, he then took that same zipper idea and patent it in France by putting it in the middle of his bag design, creating the Bolide bag. The word Bolide literally means “Comet”, which was inspired by a nickname for sport cars.

Bolide bag comes in 6 sizes, the largest at 45cm, 35cm, 31cm, 30cm (NEW!), 27cm and the VERY RARE 20cm.

Roulis bag was first introduced for the Hermes Spring/Summer 2011 Collection.

Roulis bag features a flap front with a chain buckle detail. It is a mini bag with an adjustable strap that can be used on the shoulder or across the body. It has a divider pocket in the middle and also includes a flat pocket at the back of the bag. It is a great alternative to Constance bag, as it also has a simple and elegant look.

Toolbbox bag was first introducted as part of the fall/winter 2010 collection, understated and fun bag with its closure similar to Kelly.

  • Structure

Hermès Toolbox bag boasts a Kelly-like frontal turn lock on the top-flap, four feet at the bottom, expandable side-wings, a wide optional shoulder strap and rolled top handles. Tuck the wings in for a more formal style or expand them outwards for a casual outlook; everything looks perfect. But, if you use the straps the wings are deformed, so tucked-in look is better if the bag is carried by shoulder. Also, the bag comes with a hanging clochette-keys and a lock for added security.

12. Jypsiere(in 2008)

The Hermes Jypsiere was first introduced in the Hermes Fall/Winter 2008 collection. The Jypsiere captures the “gypsy spirit”, and is perfect for carrying everything on the go.

  • Structure

Jypsiere bag has a front flap closure and clasps at the center.  You can secure the bag by looping the straps through the brackets and connecting them at the clasp. There is a large zip pocket and two open pockets for cell phones and smaller items. The strap is  adjustable and embedded with a shoulder pad. The Jypsiere can be worn crossbody or over the shoulder. If desired, the strap is detachable as well.  The back of the bag is flat and can rest easily on the side of the hip.
